Estée Lauder boost its revenue 61% and grew 9% in 2018

The American perfume and cosmetic giant closed its fiscal year, ended 30th of June, with a revenue of 14.8 billion dollars (16.4 billion euros).

Estée Lauder boost its revenue 61% and grew 9% in 2018

 

 

Estée Lauder adds and keeps going. The American perfume and cosmetic giant, boosted its revenue 61% in 2018. The company’s net benefit was 1.7 billion dollarscompared to the 1.1 billion dollars in 2017.

 

Estée Lauder income, arrived at 14.8 million dollars, 9% more than 2017. The ebitda of the group was 2.3 billion dollars, 17% more than the previous year. 

 

By product category, skin care continued being the one with the best performance, with a rise of 6.5 billion dollars, 17% more than the previous year. Makeup sales grew 4%, up to 5.8 billion dollars. 

 

 

 

 

By geographical regions, Europe, Middle East and Africa keep the lead of the best performance. Sales of the company in that area grew 15% in its last fiscal year, up to 6.4 million dollars. However, the American continent dropped 5%, up to 4.7 billion dollars. 

 

Asia Pacific was the region with the biggest growth last year, boosting its revenue 21%, up to 3.6 billion dollars. 

 

The president and CEO of the company, Fabrizio Freda, has stated that the good performance of the group during its last fiscal year was because of the big investment in data analysis, innovation and digital marketing.
