Hermès continues its international expansion: reaches 50th market landing in Poland

Hermès beats a new record. The French luxury company will reach its 50th market with the opening of its first store in Poland at the end of November. The opening boosts the presence of the company in central Europe.
The store will be located in Warsaw, on the ground floor of the Europejski Hotel, at 13 Krakowskie Przedmieście street. The hotel recently underwent a major renovation. The new store will have 216 square meters and will sell womenswear and menswear, as well as silk, fragrances, and fashion accessories, followed by the equestrian collections and leather goods.
Hermès ended its fiscal year 2018 with a revenue of 5.9 billion euros
Hermès ended its fiscal year 2018 (closed on December 31) with a revenue of 5.9 billion euros, 7.5% more than the previous year. By region, Asia Pacific, excluding Japan, was where Hermès sales grew the most.
In France, its local market, the company increased its revenues by 6.3%, to 802.2 million euros. In the rest of Europe, Hermès reached a revenue of 1.1 billion euros, 6% more than in the same period of the previous year. At the end of 2018, Hermès had a labor force of 14,284 employees worldwide and a network of 310 stores, 219 of which are its own.
