Camper reactivates its CamperLab concept with a new creative director

Camper reinforces its CamperLab. The footwear group, controlled by the Fluxà family, has incorporated Achilles Ion Gabriel as the new creative manager of this concept, which focuses on the firm's most experimental design commitment.

The company thus leaves vacant the position of creative director of Camper, that was occupied by Romain Kremer until the past 3 June. Kremer joined the company in 2009 collaborating on the design and creativity of Camper Together and in 2014 he was named creative director of the whole group.

In her new position, Ion Gabrielle will lead the design team and define the creative strategy of the communication of the entire brand and CamperLab stores, as explained by the company in a statement. The creator, born in Finland, launched his brand name in 2012 and has worked for brands such as Marni or Sunnei. His first collection for Camper will be the autumn-winter 2020 and will be presented next January.

Launched in 2015, CamperLab presents the most advanced Camper designs and includes a limited selection of both new and iconic lines. In 2017, the group gave a twist to its strategy with this concept, staying only with three establishments of this type in Paris, New York and London, while the other eleven were incorporated into its conventional network of establishments.
