Marcolin adds another brand to its portfolio. The Italian optics company has signed an agreement with the sports giant Adidas for the design, development, manufacture and sale of products of the Adidas Badge of Sports and Originals brands.

“This alliance represents another step in our strategic vision, adding an iconic brand to our portfolio and complementing our presence in the sports fashion optics industry,” said Massimo Renon, Managing Director of Marcolin after the signing of the agreement, which will be extended until 2024.

The Italian optical group, which has licenses of brands such as Timberland, Tod's, Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Guess or Diesel, among others, closed 2018 with a growth of 11.9% of its turnover, up to 482.2 million euros.

Adidas, for its part, ended 2018 with a turnover of 21,915 million euros, 3% more than in 2017, while its profit soared by 45% to 1,702 million euros.
