Olivia Palermo, after the ‘Ferragni’ effect: the influencer launches online store
Oliva Palermo will launch her ecommerce platform on September 3rd. The influencer doesn’t rule out the possibility of launching her own brand in the future.
Olivia Palermo jumps to ecommerce. The influencer will open her online store September 3rd. The store will sell more than 25 brands of apparel and accessories. One of the most expected collections of the platform is the collaboration Palermo did with the deceased designer Karl Lagerfeld for his own brand.
With this movement, Palermo follows the steps of influencers like Chiara Ferragni, that turned her personal blog into a fashion company. The Italian, for example, runs a company that generated a business of more than 30 million dollars in 2018, according to the Financial Times.
The online store will distribute brands like Alameda Turquesa, Alexandre Birman, Casadei, Cuyana, Elena Ghisellini, Genevieve Rose Atelier, Giannico, Les Petits Joueurs and Westward Leaning, amongst others. Palermo’s new company led hand in hand with her brother, Grant Palermo, has the sight set on the launch of a private label in the future.
The former PR of Diane Von Furstenberg has worked on the service-based area of fashion most of her career, and now she stated that she is ready to switch to product. The entrepreneur has become an icon for street style and has made collaborations with more than ten brands like Banana Republic, Nordstrom and Aquazzurra, that reached more than 19 million dollars in sales.
