Donna Karan’s chain Urban Zen appoints new CEO
The American company has announced the signing of Helen Aboah to fill the position that has been vacant for the past two years.
Donna Karan reinforces Urban Zen. The American company has appointed Helen Aboah as new chief executive officer of Urban Zen, its fashion and lifestyle brand. The executive will start in the position, that had been vacant for two years, effective immediately.
The company is owned by the American group G-III Apparel since July 2016, after it acquired it from LVMH for 718.1 million dollars. Aboah has a long career in luxury groups in the fashion sector. She previously was executive vice president at Alexander Wang and executive at Donna Karan.
Urban Zen offers prèt-a-porter fashion, accessories, as well as furniture and home decor items. Donna Karan’s fashion and lifestyle brand currently has three stores in New York, Sag Harbor and Los Angeles, in addition to its online platform.
