JD Sports boosts its sales 47% and earns 2.7% more in first half

JD Sports closes its first half of 2019 on the rise. The British sportswear giant has closed the first half of its fiscal year with a net profit of 98 million pounds (109.3 million euros), 2.7% more than the same period last year.
On the other hand, sales increased 47.3%, up to 2.7 billion pounds (3 billion dollars), compared to the 1.8 billion pounds (2 billion dollars) in the same period last year.
During the second quarter, JD Sports rose its sales 16.9% in its local market, to 1.2 billion euros. In the rest of the regions, the revenue of the group grew with double-digit number, with a rise of 20.7% in Europe and its United States market tripled.
