Tapestry appoints new CEO after exit of Victor Luis
The American retailer, owner of Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman has named Jide Zeitlin, current president of the board of directors as a relieve of Victor Luis.
Tapestry rearranges its helm. The American retailer, owner of Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman has named a new CEO after the exit of Victor Luis, that led the company since 2014 and that has referend to its exit as personal reasons.
The company, owner of brands like Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman, has named as a new CEO Jide Zeitlin, current president of the board of directors of Tapestry. The executive joined the company in 2006 as a member of the board of directors of the back then named Coach Inc., and in 2014 was named president.
Zeitlin has developed a long part of its career in the investment bank Goldman Sachs, where he worked for more than twenty years. The executive is also a member of other boards, specifically of academic entities and charities.
Tapestry has named Zeitlin to relieve Victor Luis as CEO
Luis, on the other hand, was also president and CEO of Coach in Japan. In the last five years, the executive worked as a global CEO of the company, same period of expansion of the company in which the group bought Kate Spade y Stuart Weitzman.
During the last couple of months, Tapestry has been restructuring its helm with new signings. The last one was the former Abercrombie&Fitch Joanne C. Crevoiserat, who was named CFO of the group. Previously the American signed Thomas A. Glaser, former VF Corporation, as operations manager.
Tapestry closed its fiscal year 2018, ended 29th June, with a 3% rise, up to 6 billion dollars. The benefit of the group jumped 61.8%, up to 643.4 million dollars.
