Bernard Arnault

Bernard Arnault is president and CEO of LVMH. Born in Roubaix, France, in 1949, Arnault attended the Roubaix Lycée and the Faidherbe Lycée in Lille. He then went on to study at the École Polytechnique. He began his professional career after his graduation as an engineer with the Ferret-Savinel construction company, owned by his father, and successively was promoted to various management positions before becoming president in 1978. In 1989, Bernard Arnault became the majority shareholder of LVMH. The luxury holding is the owner of companies like Louis Vuitton, Celine and Christian Dior, amongst others.
