Adidas grows 7.9% in 2019 boosted by the Asian market

Adidas continues to rise. The sports fashion company ended its 2019 fiscal year with a revenue of 23.6 billion euros (26.8 billion dollars), a 7.9% surge than the previous year. The company also increased its profit, up to 1.98 billion euros (2.2 billion dollars).

The German company increased its profit in double digits, explicitly by 16%. Adidas has gone from 1.7 million euros (1.9 billion dollars) in the year 2018, to 1.98 million euros in the last year.

Although the coronavirus is negatively affecting the company since the Chinese New Year in the Asian market, the highest revenue derives from the Asia Pacific, with 8 billion euros (9 billion dollars) during the last year. It is followed by the European market, with 6.1 billion euros (6.9 billion dollars); the American, with 5.1 billion euros (5.75 billion dollars), and the Latin American, with 1.7 billion euros (1.9 billion dollars).

By brands, Adidas has reached sales of 21.5 billion euros (24 billion dollars). Its other division, Reebok, has recorded sales of 1.7 billion euros (2 billion dollars) during the year, 3.6% more than the previous year.
