Micam’s visitors drop by 5% in latest edition

Micam drops a size in its latest edition. The Italian footwear trade show has closed the 89th edition with 5% fewer visitors than last year’s event. The fair indicated that the absence of British and Asian buyers was noticeable, although it clarifies that it has not been affected by the coronavirus.
The event, which took place between February 16 and 19 at the Fiera Milano Rho fairgrounds in Milan, was attended by 1,205 exhibitors, 577 international and 628 Italian.
Technology, sustainability or research in new materials have been some of the novelties of the last edition of the event. In addition, the fair has also had a space for talks and debates to reflect on the sector.
In parallel, the giant fair Informa has partnered with Micam Milano to launch an edition in the United States of the Italian footwear trade show, one of the main ones in Europe. Micam Americas will debut in August 2020 in Las Vegas.
