Mark&Spencer boots its transformation and hires new strategy director
Katie Bickerstaffe start her new role as CEO on 27th of april, 2020. The executive has been CEO for SSE Energy Services, one of the biggest energy providers in UK, and part Mar&Spencer's board.
Mark&Spencer reinforces its board. The British department stores has named Katie Bickerstaffe new strategy general director and transformation. Bickerstaffe, part of the board of the group, will suceed Melanie Smith and will be responsible of develop and supervising the digital transformation plans of the company.
The new executive of Mark&Spencer has extensive experience developing with responsible background positions. Bickerstaffe has been the CEO for SSE Energy Services, one of the biggest energy providers in UK. Until April 2018, she was working as CEO of Dixons Carphone in UK and Ireland, international company that serves telecommunication services.
The British group ends its third quarter of 2019 with a 0.7% of fall in revenues, to 3,018 million pounds. The company is still processing its store closure plan of 2020 and has restructured its team with 74 layoff in sales, marketing and logistic department.
