Moschino’s owner names Stefano Secchi as GM

The Italian Aeffe renovates its helm. The group, owner of Moschino and Alberta Ferretti, amongst others, has signed a new general manager. Stefano Secchi has a long career in Italy in brands like Giorgio Armani, Versace or Etro. According to WWD, Aeffe will announce today the signing of the executive as new general manager.

Up until now, Aeffe general manager was Gabrielle Maggio who has held the position for the past three years. Aeffe’s president is Massimo Ferretti. The company is one of the biggest groups of the fashion industry in Italy.

The company has not only been the pillar of Alberta Ferretti and its second brand, Philosophy, but it has also been behind Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier, in its golden age and more recently, Emanuel Ungaro and Jeremy Scott. The Italian group signed last July a deal with the Spanish group Custo Barcelona.

In 2018, Aeffe grew 10.9%, up to 346.5 million euros. The company’s net profit stood at 16.7 million euros last year, almost 5% more than in 2017. The company is controlled by the Ferretti brothers.
