New York has obtained 625 points out of the maximum score (1,000), based on demographic, socioeconomic, political, touristic and infrastructure-quality criteria. Los Angeles got the silver medal with 556 points, while Singapore scored 548 points.

The other seven spots within the top ten include cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Hong Kong, Boston, Tokyo, Shanghai and London. These global powers are also the most developed in economic, political and social affairs on a global scale.
