Alain Wertheimer is the CEO of Chanel since 1974 and leads the company together with his brother Gerard, who oversees the watch division. Their grandfather, Pierre Wertheimer, owner of the cosmetics and perfume company Bourjois, was a co-founder of the perfume division of Chanel. The executive worked at Moët & Chandon before joining the luxury brand.
